Italian singer-songwriter Serena Abrami is one of the few reality show participants to make it in the music business. A contestant on the second edition of X Factor in 2009, she was eliminated during the fourth episode. In the year following her television debut, she signed a contract with EMI records and participated in the 61st Festival di Sanremo in 2011. The same year, Abrami released her first full length album, Lontano da Tutto, which showcases her emotional and sometimes sorrowful voice.
