Milagro Acustico

Based in Rome, this eight-piece band interprets the traditions and history of the Mediterranean through it's music. Bob Salmieri formed the group in 1995, and his Sicilian roots have influenced the group to use lyrics in his native language, as well as Arabic and Turkish. Milagro Acustico self-produced and released it's first album, Dreamlike, in 1998. The band has since released seven more albums, including Rubaiyyat of Omar Khayyam, released as a collaboration between two US based record labels, and it's 2011 effort, Blood ru POET- Sairin KANI, Nazim Hikmet, Ignazio Buttitta poems. Many of Milagro Acustico's albums are dedicated to poets from the Mediterranean, showcasing the area's multicultural history and the group's narrative strength.
