Having already performed with such notable acts as She & Him, Dr. Dog, Deer Tick and Grizzly Bear, it seems like only a matter of time before Brenda begins to headline on its own. Recorded in a woodworking shop, SIlver Tower, the group's debut LP, showcases its modern indie rock brushed with retro touches from the 1950s and 1960s. The album was well-received in the band's hometown of Portland, Maine and eventually managed to catch the ear of Wilco front man Jeff Tweedy, who personally invited Brenda to perform at the band's Solid Sound Festival.
