Jamal HD is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. Though the influences found in his beats can be traced back to his parents' music collection and the pop, R&B and rock cassettes he listened to growing up, his style is equally reminiscent of the more adventurous, forward-thinking hip-hop of groups such as Outkast. His raps detail a wide range of experiences, some, such as reflections on his mother's death and the birth of his son, being very personal in nature. He released his first mix-tape, entitled Sin-thu-sis, in 2010 and continues to establish himself as an artist to watch out for in the coming years.
