Combining technical prowess on the turntables with an adept ear for reading the feeling of each particular crowd, Mark Oliver is one of the most widely-respected club DJs in Canada. Raised in Scotland, Oliver first made his mark on Toronto in 1987, when he began to spin records anywhere and everywhere he could. His deep knowledge of techno, trance and house styles gives him a breadth of options to pull from to fit the mood of each particular evening. Known throughout Canada for his frequent residencies at some of the nation's top clubs, Oliver has been hosting a weekly event at The Guvernment each and every Saturday since the late-1990s, where he spins sets of up to nine or ten hours in length.
