Traces is an off-Broadway urban acrobatic showcase from Canada that captured the world's attention when it was featured by hit television talent show, America's Got Talent in July 2011. The acrobat troupe describes itself as "poetic and explosive," synthesizing the traditional acrobatic techniques with everyday activities from basketball to skateboarding into a show that represents urban life as a genuine art form. Mixing some theater and contemporary dance into the act for good measure, Traces is a unique acrobatic act notable for the group's special ability to bring the often "inhuman" elements of acrobatics back down to earth.
