kanonxkanon are an unusual mix--even in Japan, where unusual easily becomes business as usual. The duo consists of Kanon Wakeshima, a cellist who produces haunting classical-inspired pop, and Kanon, bassist of the band An Cafe. The duo use their love for anime show tunes to create their music. As a result, each of their songs have a haunting and fantastical depth that capture their listeners similar to how folk tales and fairy tales captivate their readers.
