Tulip Wars is a five-piece rock band from Denver, Colorado. Inspired by a wealth of recent indie rock crossover acts, like TV on the Radio, Spoon and The Black Keys, the group's sound is lightly experimental without ever losing sight of crafting memorable rock and pop hooks. Tulip Wars is led by the strong vocal work of lead singer Tara Davies, who can go from a soft lull to a high-reaching falsetto on a whim, often matching the ebbs and flows in intensity coming from her band mates. Though it's a relatively new face on the Denver scene, Tulip Wars has done a fine job establishing itself right off the bat, and was rewarded with a slot at the UMS Festival in 2011.
