Thee Goochi Boiz, like many of its recent psych-rock brethren, pen short bursts of late 1950s-influenced pop that is buried in a barrage of lo-fi garage noise. The Boulder, Colorado-based band employs an overall vibe that is heavy on ramshackle looseness, full of makeshift Beach Boys harmonies, fuzzy guitar tones and tinny production. Learn to Read, Thee Goochi Boiz first release of oddball pop and outsider rock and roll, was released in the summer of 2010.
