The five members of Strange Americans found one another after scouring Craigslist to find like-minded musicians aiming to create twangy folk rock similar to the likes of The Byrds and Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. Once the lineup had been formed, the band began penning mature and thoughtful songs that benefited from the use of multiple songwriters and vocalists. Referencing the poppy alternative country and emotive songwriting of modern revivalists such as My Morning Jacket, Ryan Adams and The Avett Brothers, Strange Americans has found success in its niche within the Denver, Colorado music scene.
