With its rollicking country jams, harmonica blasts, honky-tonk piano and classic rock guitar solos, it's pretty apparent that Musketeer Gripweed has little else on its mind than providing listeners with unpretentiously rambling party music. Led by the charismatic presence of Jason Downing, the Colorado-based five-piece is a staple at music festivals all over the Rocky Mountain region of the US, and has become popular with the jam band scene due to its tendency to often indulge in long-winded, improvisational passages in its songs.
