In the short period of time since The Microdots' inception, the Denver band has situated itself into its local scene, performing at some of the city's most popular rock clubs and bars. The four-piece exhibits a modern alternative rock sound that occasionally shows off some of its members more psychedelic and exploratory tendencies. The Microdots' debut LP, Orkid, was released in the summer of 2011 and does a fine job showcasing its textured, shoegaze-y guitars and driving pop-rock songwriting.
