Relying on loops, field recordings and cut-and-paste techniques between the analog and the digital, The Kevin Costner Suicide Pact produces pieces of experimental ambient drone. Formed in Denver, Colorado in 2008, as an offshoot from post rock outfit Fellow Citizens, The KCSP has two core members, but performs with as many as six. At a typical performance, the musicians/producers generally lean over a table covered with wires and switchboards, focusing entirely on tweaking and altering the devices in front of them. While high energy may not be the band's goal, it instead manages to place the audience members in somewhat of a trance, as they become just as focused on the subtle changes in the music as the band does.
