Infusing its kinetic pop punk sound with plenty of exploratory elements pulled from progressive rock, Be The Ant has established itself as a high-energy live entity in Denver's underground music scene. The five-piece, which is comprised of two related sets of brothers, formed in early 2010 after a relocation from the East Coast to Colorado. Pounding, frenetic rhythms are used in combination with jerky stop-start guitars and an energetic, sometimes communal, vocal approach. Be The Ant has been known to record its albums live in the studio in an attempt to capture the spirit of its popular stage performances.
