Initially formed as a solo project for Michael Edwards, Genetic Engines became a songwriting collective in early 2011, incorporating four more members. The result of the Denver-based band's efforts is a cohesive blend of Rocky Mountain folk-rock and Balkan-inspired instrumentals. While Genetic Engines hasn't been around for long, it has already become a favorite on the Colorado folk scene, and the band continues to win over fans as it plays festivals like The UMS.
