From Massachusetts, Gem Club is fronted by Christopher Barnes, who collaborates with cellist Kristen Drymala and vocalist Ieva Berberian. The band's minimalist sound, usually made up of a maximum of two instruments, is accentuated by almost whispered vocals. In September of 2011, Gem Club released it's debut album, Breakers, which flows like a story muddied with secrets.
