Stephen Levitin, better known as (The) Apple Juice Kid is a music producer, artist, 8 time beat battle champion, and drummer/percussionist from Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Apple Juice Kid's background is in jazz drumming, at The University of North Carolina. In the mid 2000's he starting his music producing career after earning recognition and building a following in the industry by winning Beat Battle events held around the United States. Apple Juice Kid†˜s production has been heard on songs by Camp Lo, Wale, Mos Def, MC Lyte and YahZarah. He is an eight-time beat battle champion, and his critically acclaimed Miles Remixed album (Okayplayer/illroots) has been downloaded over 10,000 times. As a percussionist, composer and bandleader, Apple Juice also fronts Freebass 808 and The Remix Project, and has toured as a drummer with The Foreign Exchange and The Jungle Brothers.
