FC Porto Sofarma is a Portuguese handball club that competes in the Andebol 1. Like the football division of the multidisciplinary sports club - FC Porto, this club too is a dominant force of its sport. While the club was founded in 1932, it had to wait for over two decades to claim its first domestic trophy, but since then there has been no looking back. It won its first Portuguese League trophy in 1954 and added nine more to its name by the turn of the century. Along with a record number of league championships, several Portuguese Cups, SuperCups and League Cups stand as testament to this club's greatness.
