Manchester-based DJ and producer Lee Spence, who goes by Ellesse (a reworking of the letters in his name), became involved in the electronic music scene at the age of 17, selling records on the streets and doing minor promotion work here and there. Eventually he decided to start DJing and grabbed a spot at Manchester's renowned Sankeys club, spinning a heady mix of house tracks. Seven years later, Ellesse remains a resident DJ at Sankeys, puts on several successful club nights around the city and runs his own record label, Kaluki Music.
