Goldie (aka Clifford Joseph Price) is a British electronic musician known to primarily work in the jungle and drum and bass genres. Raised in foster care and by a series of adoptive parents, he turned to hip-hop, graffiti and breakdance culture in his late teens and early 20s, developing a strong passion for the lifestyle. In the early-1990s, Goldie discovered breakbeat music, a genre that would inspire the now over two decades worth of hard-edged jungle music in his catalog. His distinctive look--defined by his customary gold teeth and big chains--has also helped him land film and television roles to go along with his reputation as one of the long-running pioneers of UK jungle music.
