The Polish football club, MKS Limanovia Limanowa is based in the town of Limanowa in Poland and plays its home games at the Roman Szumilas Stadium. It was founded in 1924 when two existing clubs, Sokół and Olimpia, merged into a single entity. For many years in its history, the club faced major financial issues that hindered any scope of growth. But despite this, the club kept progressing slowly, but steadily. In 1984, it paved its way into the II Liga for the first time. The club is still one of the competitors in the II Liga.
