Taking some inspirational cues from modern progressive rock revivalists such as The Mars Volta and Coheed & Cambria, the three members of Denver's Eolian combine these influences with a melodic pop rock songwriting approach that bolsters their accessibility. The group is high on lofty concepts in its music and lyrics, as evidenced by its Egg LP, which it describes as "a 35-minute continuous music concept album about birds, eggs and flight." Eolian continues to firmly establish itself in Denver's rock scene and has recently landed slots at popular regional festivals, such as The UMS.
