Colfax Speed Queen is a four-piece garage rock band from Denver, Colorado. Channeling the spirit of some of the genre's godfathers, such as The Sonics, MC5 and The Stooges, the band plays loud, fast songs full of punk rock rhythms, squealing distorted guitars and a raw vocal delivery. To add a touch of modern flare, Colfax Speed Queen takes advantage of its use of a synthesizer to great effect, adding another layer to its high-energy garage punk albums and live performances.
