Northern Illinois Huskies

The athletic teams that represent Northern Illinois University are referred to as the "Huskies." Members of NCAA Division I and the Mid-American Conference, the athletic program is made up of seven men's sports (baseball, basketball, football, golf soccer, tennis and wrestling) and ten women's sports (basketball, cross country, golf, gymnastics, soccer, tennis, track, volleyball). Located in DeKalb, Illinois, the school's sports teams have become somewhat of a localized sensation among sports fans in the Northern Illinois region.
