The mermaid gives up her beautiful singing voice in exchange for two legs so that she can join her beloved on land. The Mermaid Princess employs a more sophisticated and spare treatment than the Disney-influenced versions that most audiences have been exposed to. Using minimalist prop and set design, The Mermaid Princess explores the Mermaid's story through modern dance, heightening the drama and poignancy of this time-honored tale.
