The LaFontaines

Taking its name from the voice-over star Don LaFontaine, The LaFontaines is a five-piece based out of Motherwell, Scotland. As it blends hip-hop with alternative rock, one might expect the group to sound like one of the standard 1990s Rage Against the Machine-style bands, but because The LaFontaines leans more toward the grime side of hip-hop and more modern sounding alternative rock, the band is able to stand apart in its own unique genre. Since forming in 2008, the band has changed its lineup a few times, but has toured relentlessly, earning praise from many UK publications.
