After years of performing solo work, singer/songwriter Blake Brown finally decided to forge a full band and approached several musician friends from other local acts in 2010. The resulting five-piece then began creating quiet Americana with doleful melodies and folksy violin, releasing a debut EP within a few months of forming. With a growing fan base from its local Denver music scene, the band has already been asked to open for several notable indie folk acts when coming through Colorado, helping to expand Bare Bones' audience even further.
