Jack Townes

Formed by Jack McElhone, the frontman and songwriter for his semi-eponymous band, Jack Townes is a four-piece based out of Glasgow. Drawing on quite a few of rock's sub-genres, the band showcases elements of punky garage rock, 1950s straightforward rock and roll and US heartland rock. The resulting fusion might seem a bit conflicting, but Jack Townes manages to pull it off and became known for its unique sound only a few months after forming in 2011, when it was signed to Columbia Records. Since then, Jack Townes has performed at various UK festivals and has built up a respectable fan base in such a short amount of time.
