Ida Barr is a character created by British writer and comedian, Chris Green. A product of his lifetime involvement with live theater, cabaret, comedy and performance art, Green's Ida Barr character is the self-proclaimed "world's first music hall singer turned R&B rap superstar." Green goes all out in developing Barr live onstage, dressing in full drag, adopting a stuffy accent and maintaining a thorough back story. Barr has been the sole character of two of Green's live shows, entitled Get Old or Die Tryin' and Artificial Hip-Hop.
