Despite refusing to make DJing his career (he works as a graphic designer by day), Roma Litvinov has made quite the name for himself as one of Russia's preeminent electronic DJs. Performing under the moniker Mujuice, the Moscow-based producer draws on influences as diverse as classic Russian composers, acoustic jazz and techno. The result is something akin to multi-faceted IDM with samples, his own vocals and just as many dark minimalist moments as glitched out beats. While Mujuice regularly releases LPs and EPs, he doesn't perform outside of Russia too often, so a chance to see him is certainly worth taking.
