Duckie is a collective of performance artists based in London who describe themselves as "a post-gay independent arts outfit" that combines several types of performance styles into an extraordinarily entertaining and experimental act. Truly a post-modern group of artists at heart, Duckie is considered by many to have aided the dissolution of categories in contemporary society that keep people from learning about each other's differences. However, despite the collective's more benevolent artistic and social aims, the key to Duckie's success is that their performances--whether it be burlesque, club nights or pop music--ensure that audiences leave as entertained as they are educated.
