Equally influenced by the underground electronic music scene of his native UK and by the J-pop and video game-inspired chip tune of Japan, Kidkanevil is a producer who claims to be based out the fabricated city of Tokyorkshire. His fusion of two worlds has attracted an extensive fan base that finds his glitchy, ambient bit-pop, laden with hip-hop samples, both interesting and danceable. Since dropping his debut LP in 2007, kidkanevil has become a favorite amongst many respected electronic musician--including DJ Shadow, Daedelus and Bonobo, all of whom have aided in bringing kidkanevil's music to the spotlight.
