Sacred Balance

Sacred Balance was formed by eight students studying music performance at the University of Toronto in 2008. Incorporating about as many styles of music as band members, the group draws on the elastic beats of trip hop, the world-inspired trance of psybient and the experimental arrangements of prog rock. With three band members focusing solely on vocals, Sacred Balance's music is definitely harmony-driven, but also showcases strings and electronic elements. As its name implies, the band attempts to create sacred music that guides the listener toward enlightenment, and regardless of whether or not this holy state is reached, Sacred Balance continues to win over a devoted fan base throughout Canada.
