Tampa Bay, Florida rapper Shunda K is the former member of rap duo Yo Majesty and ventured out on her own after her partner Jwl B was arrested for assault charges in 2009. Continuing with the duo's offbeat electro-rap and party music, Shunda K combines these sonic styles while engaging with issues of gender, sexuality and spirituality. Shunda has had the unfortunate task of re-capturing the loyal audience she had created as Yo Majesty, however Shunda has managed to keep many of her most invested fans, creating an intimate following that is helping her with a successful return.
