Nate Wize is a producer, DJ and remix artist who has been a prominent member of the Canadian electronic music scene for over 15 years. Whether he's creating beats for MC Lee Reed, touring with Dumatix Soundsystem or remixing the likes of MGMT and The Clash, his work places equal weight on genre-exploring creativity and straightforward, dance-minded elements. If a singular unifying thread can be found throughout Wize's tracks, it's the influence of dub music. While never fully working with the traditional boundaries of the genre, dub's slow, spacey bass lines and echo-heavy vocal manipulations can be deciphered in much of his work.
