It could be said without trepidation that Nile Rodgers is the godfather of disco. Having formed the seminal band Chic in the early 1970s, the group would go on to rule the airwaves, the charts and the nightclubs throughout the late-1970s and early-1980s. An adept guitar player with a knack for finding the right groove, Rodgers has also served as producer for a number of well-known musicians and bands David Bowie, Madonna and Duran Duran.
