Little Girls

Formed in Toronto in 2009, Little Girls is a post punk project formed by Josh McIntyre. Though he'd previously played as a member of Pirate/Rock, another post punk outfit, Little Girls marks McIntyre's first foray into solo work. Inspired by classic post punk groups such as Wire and Gang of Four, as well as the 1980s indie rock scene via Fugazi and Husker Du, his songs are driven by chugging, root note-heavy bass lines, textured distorted guitars and unchanging, mechanical drum patterns. The band, now a four-piece, has been enjoying success in the Toronto scene amongst fans of experimentally-tinged rock and roll.
