With the release of her 2008 debut album, Bronze and Blue, Lindsay May established herself on the Canadian singer/songwriter circuit as an artist keen on upholding the folk, blues and soul styles she grew up loving. For the Vancouver-based May, songwriting is a nonstop process. She finds lyrical inspiration from random places when she least expects it, both from her personal experiences as well as from those around her. During her live performances, she sings with a blues-based passion that accompanies her customary acoustic guitar style. May has been nominated for several songwriter awards and continues to build her reputation as a purist singer/songwriter around the Vancouver area.
