Gt. Dane

Formed by D. Moore, front-man to Winnipeg's group All of Your Friends, Gt. Dane is a collective full of instrumentalists from around Canada and from various other indie bands. Incorporating a variety of instruments--including the cello, violin, saxophone and accordion--Gt. Dane builds lovely baroque pop soundscapes with dark undertones and folksy male/female harmonies. The group recorded its debut 2011 EP in one day in a film prop warehouse with impressive results, garnering positive press throughout Manitoba. As Gt. Dane is a loose collective, its live shows can consist of all 8 players or just D. Moore solo, but always makes a lasting impression on the audience.
