Lava & Ash

About

The Lava & Ash is a Canadian folk-tinged psych rock band from Southern Ontario. Using a base of distorted Southern rock riffs and jammy grooves, the four-piece writes songs that spiral into several different directions at moment's notice. The swirling guitar solos and long drone-y passages sometimes drip with dark, sinister undertones, while other times, the group will settle into mellower sections that highlight a bit more of its dynamic range. All four members are veterans of the Ontario music scene, and their past experiences combine to make Lava & Ash a band worth paying attention to.
