While Toronto-based band Dora Alexander might play fairly straightforward indie rock melodies and standard rock and roll beats, the group layers its instrumentals and arranges them in an unusual way, setting it apart from other bands in the indie rock genre. The quartet's experimentation with the traditional song format generally results in lengthier pieces that take the listener around surprising bends.
