The Dirty Mags

After having played together for some years as a trio, the long-time friends that made up Toronto-based band Dirty Mags decided that to be a serious band they needed a lead singer, and so they posted a Craiglist ad. After scanning several questionable candidates, the group finally found Mike Kaminsk, who possessed an impressive stage presence and whose vocals paired perfectly with Dirty Mags' post punk revival-style indie rock. While the band's shows have been known to get a bit out of hand, drawing in a surprisingly rowdy crowd, Dirty Mags actually produces fairly low-key and enjoyable garage rock layered with electronic nuances.
