Though Toronto-based trio Different Skeletons only formed in the last weeks of 2010, the band already began to receive hype by the following spring. Partaking in the garage rock standard of a minimal set-up and intentional lo-fi recording techniques, Different Skeletons creates densely-reverbed tracks that shroud all vocal harmonies in a thick haze, but include surf guitars and punk-style drumming, setting the group apart from the slew of other lo-fi garage acts on the scene today. With its high-energy live shows, only made more interesting by front man Daniel Houghton's rather bizarre facial expressions, Different Skeletons continues to win over audiences across Canada.
