City and the Sea

Formed in Hamilton, Ontario, but far more influenced by the bands to come out of Detroit, Michigan, City and the Sea is a four-piece that creates throw-back alternative rock. Showcasing styles rooted in Detroit's 1960s Motown, 1970s classic rock and 1980s heavy metal, the band fuses the city's diverse musical history into the hard-edged rock and roll that has become City and the Sea's characteristic sound. Since releasing its debut album in 2008, the band has found audiences throughout Canada and Europe, and has steadily matured as well as solidified its sound with each subsequent release.
