Broken Bricks

Despite being rooted in Toronto, Broken Bricks is a band that creates music surprisingly akin to early Britpop. Formed when Marlon Chaplin and Luke Kuplowsky happened to meet in their high school hallway, each with an instrument in hand, the two musicians began writing music under the Broken Bricks guise almost immediately. Over the years, they absorbed two more band members and in 2009 released a demo full of 1960s-inspired rock and roll with high-energy guitar riffs, tinkly keys and Britpop-styled vocals. With a steadily growing fan base in its native city, Broken Bricks is set to become one of Toronto's favorite rock and roll bands.
