Folk singer/songwriter Brett Caswell doesn't stick to the standard boundaries of a genre that typically confines an artist to only his voice and his guitar; instead Caswell also incorporates the piano and the banjo into his songwriting, making it simple for him to shift from an earnest ballad to a country-tinged ditty. After relocating from his suburban hometown in Southern Ontario to the Toronto metropolis, Caswell has taken to performing with a backing band made up of a rotating cast of friends called the Marquee Rose. Generally playing acoustic sets, Brett Caswell & the Marquee Rose strive for intimate live shows where the audience can share in the storytelling of Caswell's music.
