Deeply rooted in the psychedelic rock and roll of the 1960s, The Black Hollies could easily be mistaken for a British band of that era. The four-piece, however, is a New Jersey-based group that was formed in 2005. Paying particular attention to hooks and melodies, the band blends British invasion-style organ, fuzzy guitars and drug-addled lyrics that all hearken back to the height of psychedelia. Since forming, The Black Hollies has released several LPs to critical acclaim and plays the summer festival circuit regularly.
