Formed by Cassie Ramone of Vivian Girls and Kevin Morby of Woods, The Babies is a four-piece based out of Brooklyn. Like the aforementioned members' primary bands, The Babies predictably creates jangly lo-fi garage rock with male/female harmonies and plenty of distortion. Formed in 2009, the band tours and records in spurts, in between time spent working with its affiliated bands. Despite its members' busy schedules, The Babies has managed to be fairly procreative, releasing two 7" singles and a full-length LP after being a band for only a little longer than a year.
