Brooklyn-based five-piece Slowdance formed in late 2009 and a year later, after playing a handful of shows around New York, the group had secured spots opening up for buzz bands, thus being thrown into the buzz spotlight itself. With dramatic synthpop melodies and the seductive vocals of front woman Quay Quinn-Settel - who sings in both English and French - the band has had no problem winning over audiences and with the planned 2011 release of its debut album, Slowdance will no doubt continue to secure fans with ease.
