With band members from China, Germany and Holland, respectively, Monokino definitely brings a diverse background to its music. While this diversity is subtle in its English-language dance rock, the Netherlands-based trio's primary fan base is spread out equally amongst the members' native countries. Incorporating elements from both synth-heavy pop and 1990s-influenced alternative rock, Monokino balances electronics and guitar-work in a well-received manner. Coupled with its creative live shows and music videos, the band will likely only further spread its audience overseas.
